The NU-47F microphone
The NU-47F is a large diaphragm condenser microphone that uses a FET instead of a tube as the impedance converter. But the circuitry is unlike any other microphone. After several years of prototyping and experiments and countless hours of listening, I was finally able to build a microphone without a tube that had the musical qualities I desired.
The result is a smooth, full bodied sound combined with an extremely low noise floor. The prototypes have been mistaken for tube microphones more than once. The NU-47F has the same capsule, and a slightly shorter version of the unique wooden body of the original NU-47. As always, hand crafted for You by Yours truly.
